The Voter Empowerment Project (VEP) focuses on empowering historically disenfranchised voters by activating high-impact civic engagement. Our volunteers help combat the misinformation, disinformation and outright suppression by educating voters on where and when they can vote, and what to do if they are not being allowed to vote.
The Voter Empowerment Project (VEP) helps really small, under-resourced state and local groups that make sure everyone is able to vote - especially communities of color, young people, returning citizens, new Americans and others who often face barriers to the ballot box. VEP recruits professionals from around the country to provide high-quality pro bono services to these front-line groups (e.g. with social media content, data analysis, web design, communications, research, writing and editing and more) - all so that these groups can help more people register and vote in every election. Since the 2020 election, 39 states have proposed 393 bills designed to suppress the voting power of minority communities, and in 24 states, 56 voter restriction laws have been enacted.
Our dedicated staff and volunteer team continue to work with our community partners to help them mobilize and achieve impact. I hope you will consider making a gift to support our essential efforts.
The Voter Empowerment Project is fiscally sponsored by Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs (EIN #: 95-4116679), and your donation is fully tax-deductible.
