Just a few weeks ago, Toni felt a lump in her breast and immediately went to the doctor. She has had lumps before and the biopsy results have always come back clear. On June 10th, she received the dreaded diagnosis of breast cancer and she would need tested for the BRCA gene right away to determine course of treatment. For those of you who don't know Toni, she is a mommy to a sweet four year old, Aria. Toni has been through a lot these past couple of years. She deserves all the happiness in the world and she needs our prayers to help her get healthy again because she is getting married. She will have plenty of out of pocket expenses as they've already started. Her employer is allowing her the time she needs to take care of herself but she will lose out on some pay while she is out in addition to the medical bills that have already started to come in. She expects the treatment plan to be determined in the next week, once she gets the results of the BRCA gene test. No one should have to worry about finances while going through something so devastating. If you are able, please send a little something to our amazing friend and help ease the financial burden.
