Hello everybody. My name is Luciano Freitas and my wife is Ancelma G. Freitas. I am reaching out to you for help. The pictures you are going to see are of my niece, soon to be daughter, Fernanda Lima São Leao. Right now, she lives in Medeiros Neto, Bahia with my wife’s parents.  Fernanda is a beautiful 13-year-old young lady who is full of life. When she was eight months old, her bed caught on fire and she received 2nd degrees burns throughout her body, as you see in the pictures.

 
Ancelma and I are in the process of adopting Fernanda. Even though Fernanda is already a family member, we want her to be our child. We want her to be part of the FREITAS FAMILY. We want to bring her to the United States of America so she can receive excellent medical attention and have a more fulfilling life.

Her parents (my wife’s brother and sister-in-law) are working with our lawyer and have started the adoption process. It’s going to be a night-and-day difference when she arrives here. She is going from being extremely poor to having a chance for a more fulfilling life. What a blessing.
