We are the Fenice String Quartet. We are a high school aged string quartet based in Los Angeles that has been accepted into the 2015 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. This competition is the largest chamber music competition in the world, and one of the most prestigious classical music prizes attainable today. The 2015 Fischoff Competition is scheduled for May 8 - 10 on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, in South Bend, Indiana, USA.
What do we need? Your help to get there! What we need to cover is round-trip airfare from Los Angeles to Chicago, where we will rent a van to drive to South Bend. We also need to raise funds for a hotel stay for the duration of the competition.
Our best guess is that our expenses will be about $3500 for five seats on a flight (a cello is considered another person as far as the airline industry is concerned), van rental and hotel accommodations.
We are very excited about being accepted into this prestigious competition, and are hoping you can help us make it happen. Please help us reach our goal!
Thank you!
