Feed A Family in Burao This Ramadan (£30)

As-salāmu ʿalaikum wa rahmatullāh wa barakātuh.

Let us seek reward by supporting and aiding families in need in Burao, Togdheer. Hand in Hand Burao Togdheer is a charity dedicated to providing essential resources to vulnerable families.

All praise is due to Allāh, over the past three Ramadans we have raised £10,000 each year, feeding hundreds of families annually. In total, we have now fed over 1,200 families, and with your continued generous donations, we aim to do the same again this year, bi’idhnillāh.

Our goal this Ramadan is to raise £10,000 once again, enabling us to feed over 300 families in Burao. A small donation of £30 can provide a family of 5–6 with basic rations.

This will provide families with essential items such as:

 • Flour
 • Rice
 • Sugar
 • Dates
 • Oil
 • Salt

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was the most generous of people, and he was even more generous during the month of Ramadan.

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

“Whoever provides food for a fasting person to break his fast, then he will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the fasting person’s reward in the slightest.”

Abu Huraira (raḍiyAllāhu ʿanhu) reported that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

“Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allāh will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allāh will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter.”
