Kidney Transplant Financial Help
Donation protected
We are the Friends of Fr. Albert (Father Albert Villosillo). Father Albert is a priest in a small parish in Louisiana. When he was in his early 30’s Fr. Albert's hypertension lead to kidney failure.
Fr. Albert was fortunate to have a successful kidney transplant 15 years ago. He was able to continue with his life and work. Besides his duties as a priest, he works with the school and community members. In his free time, Fr. Albert enjoys singing and cooking. He is also known for his sense of humor. We tell him his cooking is better than his singing & jokes.
Most people do not know that donated kidneys have a limited time span. Father Albert's donated kidney stopped working in 2013. He has been in the transplant wait list since then. He currently undergoes hours of dialysis 3 times a week. He has not stopped working.
The cost for a Kidney transplant is approximately $260,000 even with insurance. A patient faces significant medical and non medical expenses. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications. Medication can range from $2,000 to 5,000 per month, and they are as critical to his survival as the transplant itself. Non-medical expense includes cost of caregivers, transportation, food and lodging. There will be long term follow up care with constant trips to medical center.
With no family member in proximity, the community have stepped in to help.
To meet the financial challenge, we, the friends of Father Albert is asking everyone support for his transplant.
We thank you very much for all your help. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
