Saying Farewell
Donation protected
Pam suffered most of her adult life with mental illness. She recently felt she had no other options and took her own life. This wasn't about the life around her, this wasn't about her being sad or having a bad life, this was clearly about mental illness.
As many of us are aware, mental illness runs so much deeper than what people see on the surface. To many of us Pam was doing great. She was losing weight from her surgery, over 100 lbs so far, she had great relationship with her neice and nephews, close friends who loved her and so much to live for. On the inside, she must have been dying and on that evening, something inside her convinced her that she no longer had another option.
She leaves behind her mom, dad, & big brother, as well as the people she was closest to, her Aunt, a 5 year old niece to whom she was extremely close to and two nephews.
Pam had more friends then she even knew about, going back to her childhood all the way into today. So many visitors at the hospital, well wishes on Facebook and many people who never knew each other connecting because of her death. She was an amazing heart and bright soul with a beautiful smile. She will be truly missed.
Pam did not have life insurance and we are struggling to find the money to pay for the cremation and give her a memorial. We are asking for help to cover the cost of the cremation and a small memorial where we can gather all of those that loved her.
Anything over the top will be donated to a nonforprofit that helps people with mental health disorders. Over the last several years Pam attended a mental helth conference by Real Choices, Real Voices, every year that gave scholarships, which she received several times and we thought this would be a great way to give back in her name.
Anything you can offer will help us say farewell! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. Pam will be missed by many and we would all like to be able to say farewell.
