Farah is a fun delight to everyone who knows her. She is a woman of faith and prayer, with a great sense of humor and compassion. She has been through many circumstances in her life growing up as a Christian in a war torn Pakistan. She came to America for college to study Counseling. After graduating from Montreat Anderson college in North Carolina, she went on to earn her Masters of Counseling from Regent University in Virginia. She moved to Atlanta and began working in her field counseling patients at Emory Hospital as the Chaplain. She met her husband, David Cecil, and moved to Chattanooga after getting married in 1997. She continued her career by working with foster children, and is such a blessing to all of the kids and families she meets with. David and Farah have two handsome teenage gentlemen (Joshua and Jonathan) who take special care of their mother!
Farah was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in January 2017 at the young age of 47. She had the tumor removed surgically in February 2017, and started chemo on March 28, 2017. Her treatment consists of weekly chemo doses for 6 months, then 5 weeks of radiation 5 times a week. She will lose her hair, eyelashes and eyebrows. She feels nauseated for days after her treatment, which prevents her from working and doing her normal routines to keep her family well cared for. She and her family need financial assistance while she fights the cancer.
Please show Farah and her family your love by donating to her medical bills and cost of living during this season of life. If you would like to contribute a meal to the family, please sign up through this website: http://www.takethemameal.com/meals.php?t=DUOI5846
