Help a Family Rebuild After a Devastating House Fire

On Thursday night, our family experienced something we never imagined: a lightning strike hit my little brother’s home, sparking a fire that destroyed nearly everything they own. One week before Thanksgiving, instead of planning for the holiday, they are trying to piece their lives back together.

Most heartbreaking of all, my 14-year-old niece lost everything — her clothes, school supplies, personal belongings, and the memories she’s collected over the years.

By the grace of God, everyone made it out safely. But the road ahead is long, overwhelming, and expensive. They have nothing but some of the clothes they escaped with, and they are now navigating temporary housing, replacement essentials, and the emotional weight of this unexpected loss.

• Clothing and essentials for my niece

• School supplies and technology she needs to continue her education

• Basic necessities for the family as they work through insurance and recovery
