FALTERED: A Howard University Thesis Film
Donation protected
Hello everyone! Welcome!
My name is Autumn Jackson and I am a graduating senior television and film major, English minor at Howard University. My producers and I are currently working to make a short film called FALTERED, which was written and directed by me! I have had a love for film since I was very young, having weekly movie nights with my family. Since taking my passion to Howard to pursue a career, I’ve gained experience in directing, screenwriting, assistant directing, sound production, and being a production assistant. This is my third film that I’m directing at Howard and I’m blessed to have the privilege of making this film.
This psychological thriller follows Ivy, a human-like robot, who is discarded by her creator when he pursues another woman. She embarks on a journey to learn more about humans and the world in an attempt to get him back.
This story is about our perceptions of ourselves and our relationship with the idea of perfection. Despite knowing that we cannot achieve it, we try anyway at our own demise. As someone who used to feel pressure to prove myself, I understand that this can apply to work, artistry, relationships, and more. My goal as a filmmaker is to connect with people, revealing things about ourselves and the world around us. Therefore, I brought ideas such as FALTERED to my films!
All of the money fundraised will be used entirely for the production of this film.
This includes:
- Locations and Transportation
- Wardrobe
- Production Equipment
- Production Insurance
- Film Festival Expenses
Thank you in advance for your support! Even a share will help the production of this film and the progression of our future careers. Now let’s get to work!
