On Friday, June 7th, 2019, LaFollette, TN was hit hard by over 9 inches of rain. With the rain came a flood of proportions that had never been seen in the area. In the epicenter of the flood was Faith Way Assembly of God. Faith Way had over 8 feet of water rushing through the building over the course of 12 hours. The waters completely engulfed all of the rooms in the church and rose to the ceiling in the sanctuary and foyer.
In the aftermath of the storm, state and federal officials deemed the building uninhabitable. Everything from music equipment, pews, tables, and chairs to hymnals and bibles were lost and destroyed. The two buildings of the church are a complete loss and are being torn
down to the foundation. On top of the loss, the church did not have flood insurance as its location was not in an area of high risk for flooding.
We would like to prayerfully ask you to join us in rebuilding the church of Faith Way Assembly of God. From the ground up, Faith Way is rebuilding and is in need of every penny that you can offer. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.Faith Way Flood
