Our brave girl, Everly Faith Maturin, has been diagnosed with leukemia. She meets each day with courage, a smile, and so much light. As treatment begins, our family is splitting into two household. One household must be within 15 minutes of the hospital for treatment, vitality risks, sepsis risk, and is highly encouraged at the orders of her medical team. The second household is our primary residence we must maintain to meet work obligations, keep our two-year-old safely housed during chemotherapy days, and support Everly’s amazing older sister as she continues her goal of graduating as a senior at Capital High School in Santa Fe. Because our primary residence is not within close enough proximity, we have no option but to secure temporary housing within 15 minutes of the hospital. We expect this to be the case for the next 9–18 months, depending on how she responds.
Everly is fighting hard and in great spirits. We put all our faith in the Lord and in everyone’s continued prayers that the next 9–18 months will be a consistent set of battles fought and won. Being quarantined, providing 24/7 care, and being unable to work creates a real financial strain. At a time that Everly was getting ready to start her school year and compete in her plethora of sports including Cheerleading, Basketball, Football and Softball she will be championing in her biggest battle yet! Although quarantined she hopes her smile and jokester personality continues to shine bright with all her teammates, friends and classmates. She asked that everyone just be happy they can play with their friends and even enjoy practice. She is still Cheering everyone on. She says be happy every day! I Everly says she knows that even if she is sick, she still feels strong because you all are praying for her. She said Thank you so much to everyone praying for her and she can't believe how many people love her so much! if you’re able, we would be deeply grateful for any support.
How your gift will help:
- Temporary housing within 15 minutes of the hospital (required by her care team)
- Costs of maintaining two households: treatment lodging and ongoing bills at our primary residence
- Medical and care-related costs not covered by insurance
- Travel, parking, meals, and essential supplies during treatment
- Resources and amenities needed to maintain quality of life for Everly
Treatment timeline:
- Days 1–30: Intensive, critical phase of treatment with close monitoring. This first month is especially important, and by the end we’ll have a clearer picture of Everly’s progress and next steps.
- Months 2–6: Continued treatments and frequent visits. Schooling through the Cancer center. Quarantine precautions remain as her immune system stays vulnerable.
- Months 6–18: If all goes as hoped, transition toward maintenance therapy and more time at home, with ongoing monitoring.
We’ll share updates here after the Day 30 assessment and at key milestones along the way.
If you can’t give, sharing this campaign and keeping Everly in your prayers means the world to us. Every prayer, share, and donation lifts her up. Thank you for being part of Everly’s journey. She will win this battle.
