Hi, my name is Daniela Martinez. I am Fabian's Godmother. It is with a heavy heart that I write this. My Godson Fabian passed away on Thursday, June 22nd.
There are no words to describe the pain of losing a child. I'm asking you to help my Compadres Juan and Lupe, as well as their three young boys have a beautiful ceremony for Fabian. All proceeds will go to the cost of funeral, medical expenses as well as help this family out during this difficult time.
Fabian is a real life Super Hero, he amazed us all everyday with his courage, positivity, strength, resilience and humor. Fabian will forever live in our hearts.
Fabian didn't lose his battle with Cancer. Quite the opposite, he managed to spend 2 years with us after his diagnosis, and he fought until the very end. He won this battle as he is now resting with no pain and suffering.

Fabian's Story -
Fabian was only 2 years old when diagnosed with Stage 4 High-Risk Neuroblastoma. For this type of cancer, being diagnosed in infancy results in a much higher chance of being cured. Unfortunately, for Fabian the cancer had already spread throughout his body. His cancer was high-risk which greatly decreased his chances of survival. This meant an aggressive treatment.
Fabian's treatment plan was mapped out in 6 days and his treatment was set to take 18 months. Fabian's life drastically took a turn. He would spend many days in the doctor's office and hospital. First phase of his treatment was intensive chemotherapy. As a result of all the medications, Fabian began to experience different diagnosis. He was not only fighting against Neuroblastoma, but also Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 4, and Thrombotic Microangiopathies (TMA). Fabian had a long road ahead of him. He had various surgeries, transplants, dialysis, targeted drug therapies, immunotherapy and radiation. At such a young age, a child should not have to go through this.
Fabian showed us time and time again how strong he was. Fabian was resilient, and tough, and kept his beautiful smile throughout his treatment. It was hard not to be inspired by Fabian's spirit and positive attitude while being engulfed in the battle of his life. He quickly captured the hearts of his doctors, nurses and all of CHOCs personnel with his smile and spunky personality. Fabian enjoyed watching his nurses work and he participated in his own care by helping his nurses take his vitals. We Thank CHOC personnel who operate from a spirit of servitude, humility, transparency, professionalism and trust.
His Battle leaves a story of inspiration. Fabian gave us strength with his positivity and the way he adapted to his new way of life at the very young age of 2 years old. Thank you Baby Boy, we Love You!
Every single thought, prayer, wish and donation for Fabian made and will continue to make a difference.
The expenses will start flowing in, funeral arrangements and medical bills. This GoFund Me account is setup to help alleviate the financial strain for Fabian's Family.
If you are not sure what other ways to help, say a prayer, share your memories of Fabian, and please spread the word by sharing this GoFund me page.
On behalf of the Martinez Calderon Family, we are grateful for all your prayers and support during these difficult moments.
