Service Puppies Need their Gear
Donation protected
Fall is an exciting time for all of us here at the Foundation for Service Dog Support (FSDS), as each year we welcome a new class of puppies for our youth program. These adorable pups are now 4 weeks old, and in another 4 weeks they will leave their breeder and begin their service dog training with us. Fall is also an expensive time for us, as it means that we must now purchase all of those items that a growing puppy needs.
Did you know that each pup will grow through:
4 sizes of booties @ $25/pair
4 seatbelt harnesses @ $15-$35 each depending on size
3-4 collars @ $15/set
3-4 sizes of training vests @ $50 each
We are also seeking to purchase a gift basket as a “Puppy Shower” gift for each of these adorable little puppies, and your donation will help us to provide them with:
shampoo and rinse
toothpaste and toothbrushes
first aid supplies
grooming supplies- brushes, de-shedder
toys
training treats
bedding
Raising $500 will add the following to the above items:
flea/tick and heartworm preventive medications
vaccines and routine veterinary care
Raising and training a class of service dogs from beginning to end can overall be very costly. We hope to one day see each of these pups grown and ready to assist to make that special difference in someone's life. Any donation you can make will bring them one step closer to making that difference. We greatly appreciate your help!
