Support FRAT - A New Play by LAMDA Grads
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
We’re four recent MFA graduates from LAMDA, who have joined together to create bold, engaging theatre that sparks conversation. This summer, we’re bringing a new play, FRAT, to audiences across the UK and Europe, but we need your help to make it happen.
Written by Max Allen, FRAT is an unflinching exploration of male groupthink within the world of college fraternities, dissecting both the intoxicating bonds of brotherhood and the darker forces that shape power, loyalty, and harm. Through a sharp, realistic lens, the play seeks to provoke reflection on cycles of indoctrination, complicity, and the ways in which men define their relationships, both with each other and with women.
This story has already generated interest. We have taken it to The Old Red Lion Theatre and Brighton Fringe and are going to be performing at Prague Fringe, Camden Fringe, and Edinburgh Fringe. It has also been the sole play selected for the prestigious Comparative Drama Conference in July, where we will perform the piece immediately following a keynote from recent Olivier Award winner Mark Roseblatt.
But getting a show off the ground takes more than just a great script. We need a helping hand to bring this production to life.
Funds raised will go toward theatre hire, festival registration fees, set and lighting costs, travel and accommodation for the company, and marketing and promotional materials to ensure audiences find the show.
We believe in making theatre that challenges, excites, and resonates long after the final scene. If you’re passionate about new writing, emerging artists, and bold storytelling, we’d love for you to be part of this journey. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign is just as valuable.
Thank you for supporting new theatre and we can’t wait to share this play with you.
Max, Luke, Will and Elliott.
