On August 7th we lost Evelin Cruz, one of our greatest friends and most courageous leaders, to a long struggle with health issues.
Evelin was a beloved sister, mother and wife; and friend, mentor and a surrogate mother to so many of those around her.
Please join me in supporting her family to cover the cost of the funeral and other expenses her family needs. We are raising $3,000 cover expenses, including making sure her sister and son have what they need to take care of their basic needs during this period.
Evelin was a powerful leader in the movement to stand up to Walmart and worked tirelessly to lift her co-workers workers out of poverty. Evelin could see what we were capable of and called us up to be leaders ourselves. She kept us on course and challenged us to be our best. Please help us support her family in this time of need.
