Alhamdulillah – Phase 1 Complete!
With the Grace of Allah (SWT) and the generosity of our community, Eton Mosque Burton has officially purchased the Sydney Street property (formerly Hanbury Arms) for £400,000. This is a historic milestone — we now own the building that will become our permanent Masjid and community hub.
But the journey doesn’t end here. Phase 2 now begins: transforming the space.
This next stage requires major renovation and development before it can serve as:
- A dedicated space for prayer
- A centre for Islamic learning
- A safe, inclusive space for youth and families
- A welcoming hub open to all, regardless of faith
Our current facilities hold only 60–80 worshippers, while Jummah and Eid gather 250+ people — often in hired venues. This new Masjid will finally provide the space our growing community needs.
The Need:
We now look to raise at least £100,000 for essential renovations to transform the property into a fully functioning Masjid and education centre.
