Ethan is a healthy 12-year-old boy but 4 years ago this was not the case.
Ethan was travelling the Australian Outback with his family and friends when he became extremely ill. After several visits to medical centres and hospitals he arrived at Westmead Hospital where he was diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma in July 2016.
This was devasting news for a 7-year-old boy to handle and to explain that he would lose his hair Ethan took this extremely hard to take.
After 6 months of extensive chemotherapy Ethan’s hair started to grow back and since then he has been genuinely concerned and sensitive that he would lose it again if he got it cut.
Our family and friends were a great support as well as various of charities during our time in Sydney.
4 years later Ethan now has a better understanding what he went thru and is now assured and confident that his hair will grow back when it is cut.
Ethan has now decided to cut his but before he does this, he would like to raise money and donate the funds to his 3 chosen charities equally.
His chosen charities are:
· Ronald McDonald House Westmead
· Camp Quality
· Country Hope Wagga Wagga
These charities have made a significant impact to Ethan and supported him thru his chemotherapy treatment and contiune providing the ongoing support.
