## Raw talent vs. elite budgets on the UK karting grid

**What if the only thing holding back a talented driver… was money?**

Meet Ernest Sztuba 11 years old, racing as **Ernest45racing**.

He has the speed.

He has the determination.

What he doesn’t have is the budget that many young drivers have behind them.

UK karting is expensive. The drivers at the front of the grid can afford regular testing, coaching, race entries and endless track time.

Ernest can't.

When the family budget hit the wall and his karting sessions stopped, he didn't wait for someone to rescue him.

He built a lemonade stand.

He sold lemonade, pound by pound, to buy himself more time on track.

Now he's running a challenge too: **for every £1 donated, Ernest runs 50 metres.**

Because that's the kind of kid he is.

He doesn't ask for an easy road.

He just wants a fair chance to drive it.

And when he gets that chance, something interesting happens.

Ernest is the current indoor track record holder at High Wycombe.

On only his 7th time ever in an outdoor kart and just his 5th time at Daytona MK he fought his way onto the individual podium against drivers with years of experience and regular track time.

He has repeatedly recorded the Fastest Lap of the Day.

So this isn't really a story about whether Ernest can drive.

**It's about what happens when talent meets opportunity.**
---
## THE CHALLENGE ##

Ernest's 2026 programme is about giving him enough seat time to prepare for 2027 and test himself properly against the strongest drivers.

The full programme costs **£6,867**.

That covers racing, testing, training, licences, entries and travel.

Right now, we're focusing on the next step.

**Our current target: £2,000.**

Every pound gets Ernest closer to the track.

And every session gives us another answer to one simple question:

### How far can talent go when money is no longer the deciding factor?
---
## WE DON'T NEED A MILLIONAIRE.

We need a lot of people who believe that one small contribution can make a difference.

£1 might not feel like much.

But for Ernest, it can mean another step towards the grid.

Another lap.

Another test.

Another chance to prove what he can do.

**Buy him a little racing fuel.**

**Share the story.**

**Help put Ernest back on the grid.**

Let's see what happens when a community backs a boy with a lemonade stand.

### LET ERNEST RACE.
