Hi my name is Erika Ware! I am a sophomore majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Biology at the Alabama State University. I’ve recently been given the opportunity to participle in a life-changing medical internship. I will be participating with TPaIDA (Tropical Pathology & Infectious Disease Association) to assist in aiding the Peru patients in Iquitos, Peru. In Peru, I will be receiving hands-on experience, which includes clinical experience and lectures. Several students in the past said they were able to deliver babies and repair sutures after a C-section.

I am aspiring to be a dentist or a specialized dentist, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. An oral and maxillofacial surgeon extracts wisdom teeth, insert dental implants, and repair facial trauma. My plan for the future is to go to UAB Dental School. This experience with TPaIDA will prepare me for dental school, and provide me with medical assistance experience. 

This trip requires me to provide the full payment. Included in my fees are: tuition ($2875), airfare ($900), and travel expenses. Every donation is appreciated. Thank you!
