My Life Story....
Hello my name is Erika Acuna, I am newly a bride to my handsome husband Mike. We were married October 16th of 2021. It's been a whirlwind of life since then.
We have a dog named Ava and live in the San Diego area. I grew up in Michigan and had come out to California to pursue my dream to bring healing to brain injury clients and artistic expression through healing..
My cancer story...
A little bit of history: For the last year, I had been experiencing night sweats but would often brush it off and not think much of it. Within the last few months, it started to become worse, and I was also feeling a lot of back pain and overall fatigue. My doctor did some blood work and prescribed iron supplements to help the problem. A few weeks later, we took a trip to Michigan for Thanksgiving. During this time, I woke up one morning with a very swollen arm that was purple in color and sore to the touch. We went to the ER and discovered a large mass near my lung and large masses of swollen lymph nodes on my chest and neck.
We quickly flew home to California and was referred to a lung oncologist. Thankfully, the mass did not resemble lung cancer and we proceeded to get more testing. Results indicated Stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma which is cancer in the lymphatic system. There are no known reasons and its estimated I've had this for about one year (when the night sweats started). :(
This is my cancer treatment journey....
I am getting 12 rounds of ABVD chemotherapy 2x month for 6 months. I just had my first round on Dec 31st and most of my symptoms included stomach cramping. I understand that as the chemo progresses the nausea and fatigue will increase. I will be having chemotherapy every other Friday. Please let me know if you would like to sit and join me during my chemo treatment to keep my entertained and positive :)
The Power of Positive Mindset and Alternative Health....I believe that there is power in POSITIVE MINDSET and HOLISTIC HEALTH. I know it is very important for me right now to keep a positive outlook and a strong support system around me. I know my mental health is very important. not only for myself but also for my beloved Mike who is walking along side me during this journey. He will be my caretaker through these next 6 months of chemo treatment.

Please help me stay open, vulnerable and ready to share. The more I share and bring these things to light will really help me during this healing process so I can release all the expressions, emotions and feel fully seen and supported.

IV THERAPY - Aftercare for Chemo
Myers Cocktail - $199 - I would like to do this after each treatment if possible
IV therapy is a medical technique that delivers fluids, medication and nutrition directly into a person vein. The intravenous route of administration is commonly used for rehydration or to provide nutrition for those who cannot consume food or water by mouth.

Cryotherapy
$25 per session - I'd like to do this at least once a month
Cryotherapy works is by stimulating your body's fight or flight response during each session. It allows the release of adrenaline and endorphins while also stimulating the release of anti-inflammatory properties. The endorphins released help with the reduction of stress and anxiety
Hyperbaric Therapy
$300 per session - If i could do at least X4 - $1,200
By increasing the oxygen under controlled pressure the oxygen can reach tissue, and the lymph that are not normally accessible to the red blood cells. The new blood vessels enhance blood flow and tissue growth, which accelerates the healing ability.
Acupuncture
Cost is $99 per session - I would like to do this 2x/month
Research has proven complementary medicine including acupuncture is effective at controlling and minimizing many of the unwanted side effects of cancer treatment.
