Erik found out recently after going into the hospital for chest pains that he has leukemia.

He went in for possible pneumonia and in less than 2 days found out he has acute lymphocytic leukemia. Florida Memorial stabilized him, he was short of breath due to fluid on lungs, heart and a mass in his chest. .

Erik is an amazing person inside and out. He is sweet, caring and all around genuine. He always has a smile on his face and brightens anyones day he comes in contact with.

This GoFundMe was set up to help him and his family deal with the overwhelming costs associated with the care and treatment of Leukemia.

Edit: Erik has just been moved from Florida Memorial to Orlando South Cancer Center for treatment. 

Now to start chemo and a bone marrow transplant.

Edit: Erik had surgery last night to remove fluid off his heart. He was kept sedated and intubated over night but is now awake and stable. He is currently in ICU waiting to be transferred to the cancer treatment center to start chemo.

Edit: Erik is finally out of ICU and moved into a room. They are still trying to drain fluid out of his chest.

Edit: 1st week of chemo is done and we continue with the aggressive therapy,  fight against ALL. Erik is determined and continues to keep his spirits up, with the loving support he is receiving from all that love him.
