Since 2004, we've had the opportunity to design, manufacture, and sell our patented modular and customizable Urban Survival Gear, mainly backpacks, bags, and accessories. With the unlimited ways to change the usage of your bag, the goal of our product is to give you the ability to ADAPT to whatever situation you're in. Our system can be modified and transformed to help you survive the urban jungle with a tailor fit base harness that will distribute the load for comfort. As a veteran, my husband took his experience with military equipment during his years in service with the US Army as a combat engineer and implemented them into the designs to fit current civilian life while keeping the higher military spec quality. #FormFunctionFlow
Designed in Chicago, manufactured in his hometown in the Philippines and assembled in the US, we, as a family owned business, have been able to, over the past 16 years, support several dozen families with incomes to uplift their livelihoods with a livable wage and even help put their kids to college. Just like our grandparents and parents who built their businesses from scratch, it is our dream to leave the same legacy for our 2 little girls.
We've been so fortunate to build a community of supporters who not only use our products, but helped us develop them beyond what we could've imagined. Since inception, we've had good growth with 2019 being the most successful. It was such a great year that we decided to invest our profits to double the factory's capabilities and take care of our backorder as well as build inventory, hoping it would pay off in 2020. We primarily sell at conventions. These include, but not limited to pop culture, comic-book, sci-fi, gaming & anime conventions like Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2), San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), New York Comic-Con (NYCC), Emerald City Comic-Con (ECCC), GenCon and Dragon Con to name a few. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, events with large gatherings were forced to cancel nationwide until the end of the year, halting our industry to a dead stop and literally cutting off our main source of revenue stream overnight. We've almost exhausted our own reserves as well as other resources to finance Equilibrium U.S.G. and now coming to the community for help. We've spent almost 2 decades of our lives building this business and if we do not find a way to save it before the end of this year, it would be truly disheartening to see all of our efforts destroyed because of something we had no control over.
We owe it to our family, friends, and all of our loyal fans who have gotten us this far to fight and outlast this pandemic.
