Hi my name is Enolia, and I hope that you will take a moment out of your time to read my story.

I grew up as 1 of 4 children in what would be considered "the ghetto" in Brooklyn, NY. My parents always stressed how important education was and tried their best to provide for us. I went to public school my whole life and graduated 10th out of about 200 students in my high school senior class. I was determined to succeed even though I had teachers who said I would ultimately be a failure. I remembered what those teachers said and used it as a motivator to push through my undergraduate degree as well as graduate degree.

Seven years later, I am now a certified ny state teacher, with a Bachelors of Science in Education and a Masters of Science in Education with a specialization in Reading and Mathematics for grades 1-6. After teaching in public and private schools I realized something... the students needed more one on one help! But of course that's never in the budget. So year after year I talked with my colleagues and saw that there was no change. OUR STUDENTS ARE FAILING! There isn't enough time to teach to thousands of students specific needs and let's be honest, some teachers are really simply burnt out.

So I decided that I wanted to change what I saw, change the outcome of students who needed just a little extra help but couldn't afford it. I wanted to be the change I so desperately desired to see. So I started my own tutoring company called Enolia Vision Christian Academy. Starting this company allows me the freedom to try alternative ways of teaching, as well as focusing on student's specific needs in small group settings or individually.

So here is where you come in:

I desperately need a building where I can focus on developing the skills of more students. I also would like to offer very low/free rates for parents who need the help but are not financially able to afford tutoring. I truly believe that the children are our future and I want every child to have a fair shot at obtaining their dreams.

What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
