Op.64_OperaLab is a high-level educational project that unites children, teenagers and professionals in the creation of a new opera, written and produced especially for them.

Today’s children need to believe in a possible future of cooperation and peace. They need to believe that something can lead them into a beautiful future. Music, opera, art, theater – these are the avenues through which we aim to guide today’s children into a brighter tomorrow. We want children from all walks of life, fueled by passion and eagerness to engage, to participate in our contemporary opera campus.

The presence of professionals is crucial because it makes them feel part of a larger world, it makes them feel important, and it instills in them the belief that tomorrow’s world will be theirs. They must understand that people can come together regardless of race, culture, skin color, or gender.

This is why we invest so much effort in uniting different realities, different professional backgrounds, bringing together children who have never sung, alongside top-level professionals.

This is what music and theater can do, unite and come alive.

And this is no small feat!

Op.64_OperaLab è un progetto educational di alto livello che unisce bambinə, adolescenti e professionistə nella creazione di un'opera nuova, scritta e prodotta appositamente per loro.

I bambinə di oggi hanno bisogno di credere in un futuro possibile di cooperazione e pace. Hanno bisogno di credere che qualcosa possa condurlə verso un futuro splendente. La musica, l'opera, l'arte, il teatro: sono queste le vie attraverso le quali ci proponiamo di guidare i bambine di oggi verso un domani più luminoso. Vogliamo che al nostro campus di opera contemporanea partecipino giovani di tutte le estrazioni sociali, animatə da passione e voglia di impegnarsi.

La presenza di professionistə è fondamentale perché lə fa sentire parte di un mondo più grande, lə fa sentire importanti e infonde in loro la convinzione che il mondo di domani sarà nelle loro mani. Vogliamo che comprendano che le persone possono unirsi indipendentemente dalla razza, dalla cultura, dal colore della pelle, dal genere o dall’età.

È per questo che investiamo tanti sforzi per unire realtà diverse, diversi background professionali, riunendo bambinə che non hanno mai cantato accanto a professionisti di altissimo livello.

Questo può fare la musica e il teatro. Unire e vivere. Che non è poco.
