Help Ciera Serve Through Leadership and Community Engagement

My name is Ciera (Martin) Elward, and I proudly serve my community through leadership and dedication to service organizations. Additionally, I hold the non-profit seat with BNI (Business Networking International), where I’ve taken on leadership roles as Education Coordinator and Visitor Host. These organizations have shaped me into a better person, allowing me to give back to our community and beyond. Today, I humbly ask for your help to continue this journey of service.

**Why I Need Your Support**

This request is personal, and it’s about sustaining my ability to serve through two incredible organizations: a leadership training seminar and BNI.

1. **President-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) – $1,400**

In March 2025, a mandatory 3-day leadership training seminar will take place, designed for all incoming Presidents. This essential training equips Presidents with the tools and skills to lead effectively.

In August 2024, following a unique set of circumstances, I was unanimously elected as President and President-Elect of our organization. Despite our challenges, district leadership has supported me every step of the way. However, clubs typically fund this seminar for their Presidents, and that isn’t an option for me. Personally funding the $1,400 fee isn’t feasible either, but attending is vital for my leadership development and my ability to serve our community effectively.

2. **BNI Annual Membership Renewal (April 2025)**

BNI is an international networking organization that fosters trust-based business connections, enabling members to support one another professionally. As the holder of the non-profit seat, I’ve had the privilege of building meaningful relationships and representing our local non-profit community. My first year was covered through a scholarship, but this year, I’m responsible for the renewal fee.

Through BNI, I:

- Meet weekly at 7 AM, ensuring our meetings are inviting and productive.

- Prepare weekly 3-5 minute educational presentations tailored to our chapter’s needs.

- Assist with setup and visitor hospitality to create a welcoming atmosphere.

In addition to these efforts, BNI members have shown incredible support by donating over $2,200 from May 2024 to December 2024, significantly contributing to our community projects and initiatives.

BNI isn’t just a membership to me—it’s an extension of my mission to serve. Renewing this membership will allow me to continue supporting local businesses, fostering growth, and creating positive ripples in our community.
