Support Johnathan & Jennifer After Their Mom’s Passing

From Our Empire Family to Theirs

Many of you know Johnathan and Jennifer from Empire Social Lounge. They’re more than just our coworkers and friends—they’re family to so many of us here. Today, they need our help.

What Happened

On July 30th, Alma—Johnathan and Jennifer’s beloved mother—suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Johnathan immediately called 911 and, under the guidance of emergency dispatchers, performed CPR in an effort to save her life. Paramedics arrived and, after administering life-saving measures including the use of a defibrillator, were able to stabilize her heartbeat.

However, due to prolonged lack of oxygen, Alma suffered severe and irreversible brain damage. Doctors shared the heartbreaking news that she was in a vegetative state. With heavy hearts, Johnathan and Jennifer made the incredibly difficult decision to remove life support. Alma passed away peacefully on Friday, August 8.

Why We’re Asking for Help

This was an unexpected loss the family was not financially prepared for. We are raising funds to assist with funeral arrangements and associated expenses so that Johnathan and Jennifer can focus on grieving and honoring their mother’s memory.

• Service & reception expenses

• Flowers, obituary, and printing

• Transportation and other immediate family needs
