Emma came to Los Angeles from Texas as a young woman and met the Davis family, where she cared for Walter, Chuck, Judy, and Ronnie and became part of that family. She later worked at UCLA's chapter of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and remained there for 20 years. Once again, many fraternity members became close friends and kept in contact throughout Emma's life. She passed away on April 30, 2016. Emma's strong moral principles, her work ethic, her deep caring for others, earned the love and respect of all who knew her. After retirement, she lived a modest life on social security income. Those who knew and loved her want to give her the send off she deserves. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Spalding Mortuary, 3045 So. La Brea, LA 90016. Viewing will be offered on Monday, 5/9 from 1:00 - 5:00. Her crypt will be at the Inglewood Cemetery.
