Emily hikes to change lives through KOTO
Emily lives in Hampshire, UK and spends her working days in London. She has always loved hiking and adventure. Thru-hiking the 2,600 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail has been a long dream of hers, that's why she has made the commitment to complete the PCT in 2022 (delayed from 2021). Raising money for the things she believes in is a crucial element of this trip so Emily has chosen to support KOTO, a charitable cause close to her heart as she has previously lived and worked in Vietnam.
KOTO stands for Know One, Teach One.
KOTO is a foundation in Vietnam that empowers at-risk and disadvantaged youth to pursue a life of dignity by providing training, life skills and opportunity through its hospitality training programs.
Emily has spent a lot of time working and living in Vietnam as part of her career in the food industry, so this cause is close to her heart. She has also spent many years working in the hospitality industry, where she has made some lifelong friends. She really wants to support and actively give back to this cause that gives disadvantaged youth in Vietnam the opportunity to develop a career in food and hospitality.
100% of donations are sent straight to KOTO through the Global Giving platform. Emily is not receiving any contribution for her hiking adventure. She has collaborated closely with KOTO to make this possible. She looking forward to hiking and seeing the positive impact this fundraising will have in Vietnam.
This page is additional to the Global Giving platform that will also be used for fundraising.
