In 2023, Kyle, my roommate passed away, leaving my other roommate and best friend, Rachel, alone to care for their unborn child, we lost a lot. Some to foreclosure, more to creditors, storage units, and greedy landlords. We have been through hell for three years now to make ends meet, and thanks to incredible family and friends we have somehow escaped eviction and were able to move my dad into stable housing.

At this point, Rachel the kiddo and I have been living on Dads couch since January awaiting her tax return to make our last move to an affordable living situation and long term home in MI. The time has come that we cannot wait anymore. I have finally secured a full time job and we are preparing to move, regardless of the circumstances and despite our lack of funds. We need a stable place.

Here are the needs for our move:

The car needs a battery, tire, and an oil change before we can take it across the country. This will cost about $300

We need a tow hitch and lighting kit (self install) this is $200-$225

Small uhaul trailer -$281 (includes one way rental and no mileage)

Gas money- $350ish (I drive a prius)

Storage- $350 All of our things are currently in a storage unit that is overdue. We've already lost one so this is the immediate priority. We intend to pay the past due balance and cancel the unit.

Rental Deposit: $999 (We have found a small rental with a move in special and are hoping to be approved)

I know this is a lot to ask, We are at our wits end and are flying by faith at this point.
