EMERGENCY Housing Funds Needed for Queer Couple

Two dear queer artist friends are in URGENT need of assistance!!

Like so many during this pandemic they are struggling with housing insecurity and are currently facing unexpected challenges.

They were denied unemployment during the pandemic, despite both being immunocompromised and unable to safely work. Because of that, they haven't had any income since March. They have had to revise their plans and dreams and finally were about to get a fresh start, but this plan has come with so many unexpected challenges. They moved to a new town with money they had saved before the pandemic, and discovered their apartment was INFESTED with cockroaches. Without spending even one night in the apartment, they moved all of their stuff BACK OUT. They are hopeful that the landlord will refund them fully, but they are unsure if that will happen, or when their money will be returned.

They are in a completely new town, far from the support of their close community, and they just spent their savings on a cockroach infested apartment. They are currently having to stay in a hotel, much of the support they thought they had is no longer available, AND now they have to look for a new place to live.
Here are some of their immediate financial needs: hotel expenses, a rental car so they can move their belongings, and in order to secure a new apartment, they will need first/last/deposit-- which is where we come in!

It is going to take some time for them to find their feet, to feel secure and settled into this new town. Until they have a home and have a steady income, they are going to need some help!!

These two are the most INCREDIBLE, generous, thoughtful, hardworking, loving, inspiring, and honest queer couple with the most beautiful love, and we are DEVASTATED they are struggling. We don’t have enough funds to make a dent alone, but if many of us pitch in, it would bring safety, security and relief that is so necessary at this time.
