My name is Dănuț, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my brother, Gavril (64), who is currently in Romania, Bucharest.

Gavril was working legally in the Netherlands when he suffered a cerebral aneurysm that left him unable to continue working.

After this medical emergency, everything collapsed very quickly. He lost his job, his housing, and his income. For a period of time, he was living on the streets without proper medical care or support, the Holland system decided to send him home as it is, without any proper investigations.

He was eventually sent back to Romania, but he arrived with nothing, no identification documents, no access to his bank account, no savings, and no medical follow-up.

His belongings was stolen, without his ID and account details the Bank refuse to help.

Since returning, we have tried to get him medical help, but without valid identification documents, access to proper evaluation and treatment has been extremely difficult and delayed.

He got lost few days ago, leaving the house, the Police found him in a park, after 4 days, he's back at home.

Today, he is living with our 85 year old mother, who is doing her best to care for him, but she is not physically or financially able to handle this situation alone.

At this moment, my mother single income is 250€, her pension, and no external support.

What we urgently need help with:

Medical evaluation, treatment, and medication for Gavril

Replacing lost identification and legal documents

Legal and administrative fees and taxes

Basic living expenses (food, utilities, essential care)

We are also still trying to understand and resolve what happened regarding his medical care and coverage during his time in the Netherlands, a Lawyer is needed.

Why this matters:

Without help, Gavril cannot access proper medical care or rebuild even the most basic stability in his life. At the same time, our elderly mother is carrying a burden that is far beyond her ability.
