Elmerick Family Flood Relief Fund

The Elmericks are a family from the South Bend area who have gone above and beyond to help those in need. I have known them now for a number of years and am amazed at their attitudes toward all situations and others. Chris and Michelle Elmerick, along with 3 of their 4 children, were displaced from their home this week due to a flood that hit their neighborhood. I know that this fund will never truly make up for everything they lost but I hope that all of us can come together as a cumminty and help them best that we are able. 
Please take the time to consider helping this family financialy but most improtantly, please life them up in prayer during this season of life as a lot of personal items and irreplaceable things were damaged. Their house, cars and rental properties ALL under water...
 including 6 vehicles, a travel trailer, 2 homes, and 2 apartments. 


On August 15, 2016 the South Bend area recieved a lot of heavy rain. Unfrotunetly, it continued throughout the day and into the night. At some point during the night the Elmerick family realized their home was filling with water and they needed to evacuate. Thankfully, everyone was able to safely out of the home. Due to the quick nature of the flash flood they were only able to grab some of their clothing.  Since their home was flooded and most all of their belongings lost, this GoFundMe page is to help them as they recover from this unexpected event. Their house is not located in a flood zone so unfrotunetly they did not have flood insurance, meaning the cost of  temporarily relocating and repairs will be vast. I know that this family has always been willing to do anything and EVERYTHING to help others, even if it is inconvient for them. Chris Elmerick works hard to provide for his family and I know that this flood puts a lot of added stress on their family. This page is set up to help, even just a small amount. While I know this will not solve all their problems, I hope that it will be a blessing to their family.

A lot of people have been asking how they can help and we have set up this page to help replace the items they lost, living elsewhere while recovering from the flood and to help them with the clean up of their home.
