Our Sweet Ellie’s Surgery Journey
Our beautiful daughter Ellie was recently diagnosed with Congenital Trigger Thumbs in both hands—a condition that limits her mobility and makes even simple daily tasks a challenge.
When we first visited the Pediatric Orthopedist, we were hopeful she might not need surgery. But at our most recent appointment, we received news no parent ever wants to hear: Ellie needs Double Thumb Surgery.
Hearing that your child needs surgery is an incredibly overwhelming and frightening experience. As parents, we’re facing a lot of unknowns, and while we are confident Ellie is in the best hands at CHOC Children’s Hospital, the financial burden is heavy. Insurance will cover part of the cost, but we are preparing for significant out-of-pocket expenses on top of travel, recovery, and follow-up care after her sugery on September 16th.
We are reaching out during this difficult time to ask for support. Any amount you can donate will help ease the financial strain and allow us to focus on what matters most—helping Ellie heal and thrive.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, prayers, and generosity.
Thank you,
The Ramirez Family
