Ellen's Medical Fund

Our beloved friend and colleague, Ellen C. was diagnosed with cancer in July and will be undergoing extensive cancer treatment starting this month. She needs financial support for herself and her family, as she will be living on a reduced income for a few months. It will be difficult for her family to make ends meet with medical bills and other related expenses (such as travel to Philadelphia on a regular basis, food, and related support services) looming during her recovery.

Ellen is a beloved teacher at Solebury School and a devoted mother and wife. Almost exactly one year previous to her diagnosis, Ellen’s husband was in a terrible vehicular accident which resulted in numerous surgeries, a long and difficult rehabilitation and months of lost wages. They have still not recovered emotionally or physically from this accident and on top of it are burdened with his astronomically high medical bills not covered by insurance.

Donations will help our compassionate friend get back to the classroom sooner---to get back to her passion of helping students with learning differences.  She is truly devastated to leave her students to get this treatment. Ellen always tries to make a difference in people's lives, I hope that together we can make a difference for her as she goes through these very difficult months ahead. Thank you.
