Hey, I’m Ella and I honestly cannot believe I get to say, “I’m running the 2026 Boston Marathon!”
It sounds silly, but my favorite holiday is Marathon Monday—a day I can scream-cheer into my megaphone, hold my running-pun signs, dance on the sideline, and celebrate thousands of people achieving their goals. I love seeking out the best costumes, witnessing iconic Boston Marathon runners (Des, Team Hoyt, and the Pineapple Man!), and simply soaking in all the excitement.
Running for the Town of Ashland unites my love for the Boston Marathon and my hometown, making this opportunity extra special for me.
Ashland’s town spirit and our community is truly unmatched. It’s weaved into the foundation of my childhood and fuels my passions for community involvement. I loved every minute of helping plan Ashland Day 2025 and I can’t wait to run it back again (pun intended). As a proud member of the Class of 2023, I look back fondly on my time as Student Council President organizing events like Pumpkin Fest and Clocker Idol. I’ve also cherished my time volunteering and serving on the board of the Ashland Farmers Market—though I don’t miss those early Saturday morning wake ups. What continues to inspire me is the people who make up my town, the deep connections and family community I’ve found within. I’m truly grateful to have grown up in 01721.
Follow my running journey via my running Instagram (@ellbell_runs) or Strava (@EllaFong)! Lowkey…it’s going to be rough but exciting!
Lastly, I want to give YOU a monstrous shout-out for supporting my running journey, fueling my goals, and donating to my hometown. Thank you for helping me give back to Ashland!
