Elizabeth's Hour
Donation protected
It only took an hour for 11 year old Elizabeth to lose the ability to move her arms and legs. She woke on January 15, 2015 to a normal school day. All of a sudden, she felt a pinching pain between her shoulder blades that grew worse and worse. Within an hour, she was unable to move. It took the doctors several days to confirm her diagnosis of Transverse Myelitis, a rare disease that causes inflammatory damage to the spinal cord. Elizabeth has had extensive damage of her upper spinal cord that has left her paralyzed from the chest down. Please help Elizabeth and her family as they prepare for her future once she returns home from Riley Children's Hospital.
Elizabeth's family with 4 children, will be facing many expenses. As a home health aide, Elizabeth's mother provides care for our loved ones while we work. As a school bus mechanic in Fort Wayne, Elizabeth's father has spent his career making sure children have safe school transportation. Our donations can help Elizabeth's parents provide a safe and brighter future for their own daughter. We cannot change the hour that changed Elizabeth, but by simply giving an hour of wages, we can change her future. Please consider donating an hour of wages or anything you can spare.
Thank you so much!
