A Poetic Tribute to Elisabeth Pedraza Flores
January 25, 1954 – November 22, 2025

Elisabeth Pedraza Flores was born on a winter morning in Raymondville, Texas, on January 25, 1954. She passed away on November 22, 2025, at 2:22 pm in Pensacola, Florida, a place that brought her the peace she had long sought. In that precise moment, something magical and serene filled the air. The numbers themselves - 11/22, 2:22 - seemed to carry a gentle message, symbols of alignment, guidance, and the quiet presence of those who had gone before her. It was as if her ancestors were calling her home, and Elisabeth knew it was her time to leave, ready and at peace.

She faced life’s challenges with grace, rising each time stronger, gentler, and wiser. Her heart reached out to everyone around her - family, friends, and the animals she adored. Cats and dogs found comfort, safety, and love in her care.

Her journey took her from Houston, to Virginia, and finally to Pensacola. It was there that her creativity blossomed. Surrounded by calm waters and soft breezes, she filled her days with color, beauty, and meaning. In Pensacola, she created her butterflies with patience, intention, and love. The butterfly became a reflection of her beloved granddaughter, Alexandria, delicate yet powerful, ever-transforming, always rising.

Elisabeth delighted in life’s simple joys: a favorite fast-food meal, the passion and drama of her Spanish telenovelas, and the stories that made her laugh, cry, and feel deeply. She loved to play bingo, a pastime that brought her joy, and often shared her favorite saying with a smile: “YOU BET, ay, ay, ay, ay.”

Her greatest pride was her family. She carried love in her heart for her children, Amanda Flores and Lionel Jason Flores, Lionel Flores, Jr. former husband, each in her own way, and her spirit shone brightest in the laughter and warmth of her grandchildren, Athena and Zelda, her vibrant twins, Dallas Stevens (Flores), her beloved grandson, and Alexandria Flores, whose memory lived in her heart like a gentle flame.

The bond between Elisabeth and Alexandria was profound - a connection of shared spirit, soft laughter, and deep understanding. When Alexandria passed, a part of Elisabeth went with her. Now, there is comfort in knowing they are together, embraced in peace and light.

Elisabeth shared her life with the love of her siblings: Estelle Farley, Norma Sifuentes, Emilo Diaz, Sylvia Gonzalez, Irene Jiménez, and Tobi Medina, who preceded her in death and now welcomes her home.

She was a dedicated dental technician, a profession she loved deeply, caring for her patients with skill and compassion.

Elisabeth leaves her butterflies, as a symbol of transformation and love that continues beyond life, of a grandmother and granddaughter rising together.

Her family wishes to thank her caregivers, friends - including Elsie, Carlos and Dario Springer, Elisabet GB, Jarod Zich, Rick and Ashley Stevens, and many others - and the community for the love and support they shared throughout her life.
