Elijah Foor’s fight against Amniotic Band Syndrome

Hello! Alot of you lovelys have asked if Elijah had an account yet but I have been very reluctant to begin this.
I found out Elijah's sac had broken apart when I was 20 weeks pregnant. They called it amniotic band syndrome. I was very unfamiliar with this diagnosis. I was told so many different things. I was sent to many different Maternal Fetal Medicine doctors who weren't familiar with this rare syndrome. I was finally sent to St. Louis Childrens hospital 2 in a half hours away from where we live for a cleft team plus an ortho for his hand and foot. The cleft team wasn't sure he was going to make it after being born but he fought such a good fight and he's still fighting.
Elijah was affected by bands on his left foot, right hand, and face creating cleft lip and palate. They think the band wrapped around his face causing his right eye to stop developing creating micropthalmia. He is completely blind in that eye.
Over the next few months to upcoming years we will need to be at countless doctor appointments, hospital stays, and several surgeries. We are creating this fundraiser to ease our minds with the chaos we are preparing for surgery-wise. I also know money can be very tight during these hard times, so we are also going to be taking the time to set up Elijah a P.O. box for any supporters who want to send him a gift or nice letters for when he is older that I can give him so he knows he is loved very much.
