ElectroBotz headed to the FLL World Festival

The ElectroBotz are a First Lego League (FLL) Robotics team that recently won the Arizona State FLL Championships! We are honored to receive the invitation to represent Arizona at the FIRST World Festival in Houston, April 20-23rd, 2022. The team consists of four 8th graders that attend Cocopah Middle School. Two members have been with the team since inception in 4th grade, one since 7th grade and one is new to the team this season.
The team is fundraising to help pay for event registration, travel, hotel, and additional competition related expenses for the FIRST World Festival Championships. They will compete against 108 teams from around the world in the "Olympics" of robotics. Every dollar helps us get closer to our goal!

About First Lego League - FLL is a global robotics program designed to ignite enthusiasm in STEM in ages 9-14. The 4 parts of the competition include Core Values, Innovative Research Project, Robot Design and the Robot Game. As the cornerstone of the program, the teams embrace each area of Core Values including Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Teamwork & FUN!
Each season teams focus on solving real world challenges, where they must identify a problem and come up with an innovative solution. The theme for this season is Cargo Connect, where the team has to identify a specific problem related to making the transportation journey of products better. The ElectroBotz had the amazing opportunity to tour the Sky Harbor Cargo Operations area and the FedEx Cargo facility at Sky Harbor International Airport. They also got a "behind the scenes" tour of our local Albertson's grocery store as they worked on their research project.
