Help us provide Medical Care for 8 Dumped Huskies
Donation protected

UPDATE 12/21/24- We are still in need of more donation to cover vets cost. Example just nyssa having only the bare basic shots and the doctor not charging me for her time was still well over $100 that does not include the lymes disease test that needs done, wormer. That $100+ was just shots. I also received the estimate for #7 Neo who is scheduled for his neutering 1/2/25 estimate is $493.68-717.87 that cost is JUST for his neutering. He has to have a pre-op exam first plus he will be getting his basic shots and we would like to get him microchipped. We still have 2 males and 2 females that need spayed and neutered, shots, lymes blood work and we dont have anywhere near enough money raised. Please considering donating and sharing the gofund me. And unfortunately #8 we were not successful at trapping and no one has seen her in 3 weeks. It breaks our hearts not knowing if she is ok or has passed over the rainbow bridge. But we will continue to spread the word in case she is still out there. I do feel the work that mikki and I have done capturing 7out of 8 huskies finding them homes or fosters and trying to raise funds to help us help them we have accomplished alot for not being a rescue center and struggling to get media or anyone to pick up their story to help us raise the funds. And we want to thank everyone that has donated this far because without your help I don't want to think where we would be. Huge vet bill hanging over our head, we went through so many different dog foods to try to get them to eat, collars, harness, lashes, wormers, toys, you name it we have been through it. And can't forget poor sage who was injured and raging infection and recovered to having and emergency trip to the vet to be diagnosed with epilepsy. So PLEASE consider donating or even a business willing to sponsor one of the dogs spay or neuter

UPDATE 11/18 - #8 is in the pocress of being trapped. She also has a very bad limp and will require vet care. And still trying to rescue #6 from the shelter. We also have another meeting with state rep on tuesday

UPDATE 11/25 - A month and 1 day since the infamous 8 were discarded like trash. But this day was 1 month since we capture 1-3, nyssa, bandit and Sage aka nosey and the day it started for 2 strangers. The huskies are doing ok but still requiring their shots and spay/neuter. Dr Shaw also recommended they all have a lymes test done also. Today I also rescued #6 who is now named Luna from the spca. Still actively trying to capture #8 which the amish family informed me she was walking on 3 legs because she injured. She is putting her front paws in the trap but not far enough. Hoping to trap her before hunting season.
UPDATE 11/13- #7 Was captured today does have injury to a his cruciate ligament. # 8 has been spotted again and will need to be lived trapped. #6 that is located at the spca. You can also donate directly to the sunbury animal hospital in Sunbury Pa and ask to apply a donation to Missy hunsberger huskies fund.
All 4 orginal huskies have been caught and we ended up catching a 5th. I had spoken with the dog warden who said if we needed help to let her no. Well after number 5 we needed help because I had received a message of #6. With their help #6 was caught and while that one was being caught word came in of #7 and #8. Yes 8 huskies that were dumped. 4 in each group. I am still currently capturing #7 and #8 with the help of a great amish family and their kids. The male has decided he likes it there and we are able to now feed him from our hands but unfortunately the female is still very skittish and anytime she sees someone she starts to run off. The amish family is trying to gain her trust to help me out
One huskies required overnight care in the sunbury animal hospital due to a 105.5 fever and facial trauma. She had recieved alot of care and was discharged on multiple medication and as of today she has been doing well. Another one needed her declaw removed because it grew back into her foot. All these dogs need even just the basic vet care of all their shots. We are trying to raise money so we can also have them all spayed and neutered to prevent any breeding, microchip and all their shots. These dogs were not socialized, no training, were terrified by a lesh and someone had just discarded them like trash. I had another trapper tell me they have never seen dogs this terrified an unsocialized as these 8 and they have trapped feral dogs before. Please help us help them. All donations are going directly towards the vet bill. We would like to donate what ever would be left to the sunbury animal hospital fund to help other dogs and also put money towards the adoption fees for #6 that is at the spca. Every dollar helps us get closer. Please help us nyssa, sage, bandit, Phoenix, Boon and #6, 7 and 8
