Our grandpa was truly the heart of our family. He was caring, outgoing, and always willing to talk to anyone and help in any way he could. He proudly served our country as a Marine, which reflected his strength, loyalty, and love for others.

He was married to the love of his life for 58 years, and together they raised two children. One of our favorite stories is how our grandparents’ love story began — truly the best love story. He called our grandma one day while he was in Florida to ask her out and drove all the way to Ohio to take her on a date, despite multiple flat tires and many obstacles along the way. From that moment on, the rest was history.

We shared countless memories with him through traveling, trying new things, seeing new places, and simply spending time together. He especially loved fishing and being outdoors, cherishing life’s simple moments.

We are raising funds to help cover final expenses such as cremation. Unfortunately, we believed these costs would be covered through his life insurance, but it came as a shock to our family to learn that it had recently expired without warning. Unexpectedly, we are now trying to help our grandma with these expenses, including a memorial service and celebration of life to properly honor and celebrate him.
