Ed Riggs Leukemia Fund

My name is Brion Leftwich, and I have started this GoFundMe campaign to help out my friend, Ed Riggs, and his lovely wife, Brenda, through a very serious time in their lives. Ed is one of Kansas City's finest bassists and, until a few years back, one of Kansas City's top Sound Engineers. Ed was recently diagnosed with Myeloid Leukemia, after many months of Doctor and Hospital visits and stays, that included many tests and multiple blood transfusions just to keep him alive, in order to arrive at the proper diagnosis.

Ed has lost his stream of income due to this illness, and the bills are beginning to become an issue, as their only income now is Brenda's. They have exhausted their savings, their autos are in need of repair, and before too long (January) the deductibles and out of pocket costs will come due for the new calendar year. This is a very expensive treatment regimen, on top of all the costs incurred so far.

I am asking anyone who is able, to please donate whatever you can, to help them get through this difficult time. Ed has brought a lot of joy to Kansas Citians through his music, and I hope that you all will pitch in to help him get back to doing what he loves, and what earns him his money.
