CALLING ALL ANGELS!
About 6 months ago our precious friend Gerry Greenberg, aka “Dr. Zolange” (one of the angels on Earth), experienced a series of mini-strokes that were misdiagnosed and mishandled as a mental health issue. It took 5 months advocating to get him the correct, neurological, diagnosis of what appears to be Vascular Dementia, the symptoms for which are made worse & triggered by stress, which Gerry had a lot of. One of those symptoms are debilitating headaches, and migraines, which Gerry has had a lot.
We thought that once we could prove it wasn’t a psychiatric issue Gerry was struggling with, we would be able to get him the social and medical care that he desperately needs.
We were wrong!
The minimum required for the sort of living conditions he needs - with medical and social support starts at $1,500 a month on the lowest end, more than twice the maximum any type of government assistance (such as Social Security and Medical) will pay!
He is currently housed in an ‘independent living’ dormitory where his next months rent was just stolen from his suitcase while he was out on a walk.
His friend Leslee (another angel) got him signed up on a. Assisted Living Waiver as of January this year, but there’s a year long waiting list, so until then...

One of my favorite heroes is the hobbit Sam, in the movie trilogy “Lord of the Rings”.
When Frodo reached the slopes of Mount Doom, he collapsed from exhaustion. His journey nearly complete, goal in sight, he just could not go on. In his battle of “good over evil”; it appeared evil would win.
Sam, Frodo’s faithful companion, pleaded with Frodo to get-up and complete his task, but he just could not. He was too depleted to continue.
Sam too was utterly exhausted, but he said, “Mr. Frodo, I can’t carry it for you, but I can carry you!”
Exhausted as he was, Sam lifted Frodo and carried him to the heart of Mount Doom, where Frodo completed his mission and victory was finally won!
Sooner or later we may all find ourselves as a Frodo in need of a Sam.
The Sam’s of the world are some of the most fulfilled people. Making a difference, uplifting others, assisting someone in attaining their potential or in their hour of need are some are the highlights of our human existence; the greatest joy one can have.
Gerry Greenberg aka “Dr. Zolange” has lived most of his life as a Sam. In fact, he dedicated his existence to being of service to people around him. Like Sam, he has been a source of inspiration, support, and kindness.
Gerry has positively impacted, altered and transformed literally hundreds... if not thousands of lives! (Many more if we consider the ripple effects.) He has carried people to their intended goal so that they could do the work they came here to do.
Gerry has given a lot of the money he earned to helping others and to supporting causes he believed in. However he neglected to include himself in his generosity and did not tuck funds away for emergencies.
He currently has less than $700 total to live on. After so many years of loving and serving others as one of the top Astrologers and long-time Trauma Release Therapist, it is time for that love to be returned to him thousandfold!

If recognize the need of a Frodo,
Here’s what we are asking for:
At the moment Gerry is housed far away from his community, spending days alone struggling with anxiety because he cannot remember simple things and experiencing difficulties with executive functioning. As soon as he is with friends and included in a normal, everyday life, many of his symptoms go away! There are a couple of ways around this:
• One is to get him into an assisted living facility where he will receive the medical and social care that he needs to alleviate most of his symptoms and allow him to live stress free. This would cost a minimum of $1500 per month, which will need to be subsidized until his waiver kicks in next year.
• Another option would be to get him a room in a house closer to his community where we could provide social and practical support, and in time arrange for in-home care as, and when required. Due to the high costs of living in Santa Monica/Venice where most of his community are based, this would cost closer to $2,000 per month.
We would ideally like to lease to own a home where several of us friends who love & adore Gerry could take care of him. Currently I (Presence) live somewhere where my lease won’t allow me to have Gerry live with me without risking eviction,)
Ways you can help:
HOUSING:
Gerry will either need to have funds donated to him by March 15th, or he will end up again having to move and possibly homeless.
ENCOURAGEMENT/ COMMUNITY SUPPORT:
Calls, texts, emails, letters, visits… Anyone reaching out to let Gerry know he is loved, valued, cherished and important! Taking him to the movies, or for a healthy, yummy meal. Gerry adores having his head scratched! He’s also a lover of (foot & all) massages; both giving and receiving.
TRANSPORTATION: Rides to and from appointments, and/or Sunday’s westside healing circle attended by a few of his close friends.
RESOURCES: Any helpful referrals, resources, suggestions and support you know of that might assist Gerry in finding cozy, affordable housing and care.
TASKS & TO DO’s:
Navigating the medical system, e.g. we still need to get him diagnosed and assistance for sleep apnea. Also someone to help with this fundraiser,
