Ecumenical Youth Group (EYG), established 1972 in Delaware, OH, creates a safe place for open, thoughtful conversation, community, and service for high schoolers. Non-denominational, all-inclusive, and totally free for all students, EYG meets every Sunday to discuss heavy-hitting topics and serious issues. Helping the teenagers grow and flourish into critical thinkers & fabulous adults, EYG has a fully committed counselor team, most former EYGers.
Every year EYG goes on a week-long Workcamp. It is a week of transformation: not just at the work site, but for the students themselves. The students learn multiple skills, from how to use power tools to the value of really hard work (even in the rain!). Most importantly, they learn about community, diversity, and service.
During Workcamp, students transform the community, saving families in need tens of thousands of dollars on labor and supplies, improving quality of life, bettering homes and enhancing neighborhoods.
This year EYG is going to Johnstown, PA. To make this transformation a reality, we need your help.
To give you some ideas on ways to give for Workcamp 2016, we’ve created a little guide:
$5 will help buy nails
$10 will get students the proper safety gear
$15 buys shingles for a new roof
$20 buys lumber for someone’s new addition
$35 pays for the fuel to get the students to and from the work site
$40 pays for the vans
$125 feeds a student for 7 days
$250 pays for one student's entire Workcamp experience
We can't thank you enough for supporting such a great cause!
