Join The Eddie Walker Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund in Supporting Exceptional Students in Need of Encouragement and Financial Support! 


Since 1991, we've worked diligently to award more than $240,000 in college scholarships to over 200 promising students who live, work and/or attend school or church in Oakland, California, in honor of Eddie Walker Sr. - who was a member of the West Oakland Advisory Board, the Parent Board of the West Oakland Boy's Club and Oakland's Model Cities Board. As we approach our 30th Anniversary in 2021, we aim to award more scholarships than ever but we need you to keep this tradition of giving going.

COVID-19 is racking the nation and the impact on low-income communities of color will be devastating. Our young people will need us now more than ever to help supplement the exorbitant costs of their education.  Scholarships like ours help college students avoid greater debt, lessen the financial burden on their family, contribute to their own education and afford the school of their dreams.
