ERHS Raiders to the Rescue Fund

This page was created in support of Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, MD as they celebrate their 40th year in academic excellence in Prince George's County!!

The Class of 1996 is celebrating our 20th reunion this month and we want to make an effort to give back to the school that not only prepared us for the world, but has left a lasting impression on our lives in the form of lifelong friendships and comradery.

The school will be using donations for a variety of activities that support our students and bring our community together. A sample list of the big ticket items includes, but is not limited to:

Press Box – A press box will allow their Television Production students the opportunity to collect footage which the coaches use to help improve their sports teams as well as allow their Journalism students the opportunity to view the games with a bird’s eye view for reporting information about the games in their online newspaper.

Pep Band, Flags, and Drumline – For many years’ students and alumni alike have wanted Eleanor Roosevelt High school to boost a Pep Band, Flags, and Drumline. They now have the willing students and coaches but they need important items – Instruments, Uniforms, Flags, etc. 

UpdatedTelevision Productions Studio - With our world becoming more and more global, giving the students the ability to use TV studio equipment that is in this century is essential to making them marketable. Much of the equipment is from the 80’s or early 90’s. (Back in our day, LOL.)

Sound Systems (inside and outside) – Between various musicals, performances, and sports activities the current sound systems is dated  and unable to handle the volume and diversity they need  to allow their students to share their talents with the community.

All of the money raised will go directly to the school. Our goal is to raise at least $1,000 between this and our 20th reunion party on September 24th!
