Four days ago, Angel made a lifesaving trip from Pagosa Springs, Colorado with her son, Dylan, to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in hopes of stabilizing his condition. Instead of finding help, they were met with delay, neglect, and a devastating failure of care.
Upon arrival, Dylan was held in the ER for hours, and his critical, long-term medications were withheld—despite medical records, prescriptions, and his urgent needs. The refusal of his high-dose, life-sustaining meds caused severe withdrawal symptoms and ultimately pushed his already fragile body into shutdown.
It took a flood of calls from friends, family, and advocates to finally get the hospital to act. But by then, it was too late.
Dylan passed away at 6:53 today with his mama by his side and is now being prepared for organ donation. Angel—his devoted mother, his fierce protector, his everything—is left to navigate unimaginable grief while trying to give him the goodbye he deserves.
What We’re Asking:
We are raising funds to help cover:
• Dylan’s end-of-life arrangements
• A celebration of life worthy of who he was and what he meant to those who loved him
• Immediate financial relief for Angel as she grieves, travels, and begins to pick up the pieces
This is a moment none of us should have to walk alone. If you can give, please do. If not, please share. Every act of love matters. They live in Aspen Springs 4, and Dylan was cherished deeply by the local community.
Let’s surround Angel with the same fierce love she has given to Dylan every single day of his life, and will continue with her last breath.
