Drums For Solar                                                                  ***UPDATE AND PROGRESS***           3/15/2017
Here are the our plans for solar empowerment in Mali villages. We plan on a container shipment from port of Oakland, CA to Dakar, Sena gal in early June 2017.

1. Solar Suitcase for clinics; for midwives and health clinics, source. Also looking for medical donations from US to ship in container http://www.wecaresolar.org .

2. We Share Solar; a solar suitcase kit built by students for use in classrooms for small energy needs. source: http://www.wecaresolar.org

3. Solar School House; training materials for students to understand solar energy projects source; http://www.solarschoolhouse.org

4. Solar for school; chose two schools as models set up as enterprises source; US Solar World donation of 30 solar panels, Hans Stullken; Joseph Marino and DFS

5. Womens Shea Butter coop, coordinate with them to bring quality products to the USA. (theory, for every container shipped to Africa, one is shipped with product to the USA.

First needs to complete above 5 activities; A. Identify where? B.Whom served? C. Need? D. Cost/ how financed? E. Projected results? F. Time line.

DRUMS FOR SOLAR  (DFS)
People Helping People - Sharing Our Humanity

***DFS's mission is to  help support CULTURAL EXCHANGE, empowerment and self sustainability of African Villages through infusion of solar energy and use progressive technology and tripple bottom line business pratices. 

***Our first steps is to help support the current programs and needs that the village has inplace and support their infrastructure so that their activities can continue to be propirous over long durations of time.

***All involved with this CULTURAL EXCHANGE  will benifit with triple bottom line spirit of business. The donation from this GoFundMe campaign will support the intrastructure of               DFS orginization  which inturn will support and connect the  Shea Butter Village womens coops to produce a good quality product and relationship for the USA market.

***Currently DFS is in Mali formulating relationships with the Village of Niamana and Sanankoroba to help their region:
              1. Village of Niamana & Sanankoroba support and collaboration with women's Shea butter coop to share story and product with US markets.                       ,   
3. Solar suitcase for midwives in region
4. Small local clinic with solar
5.Solar and sustainability training center in Bamako.

DFS intent is to share the stories, culture and crafts from West African Villages and support their efforts of obtaining self empowerment and self sustainability.

DFS will raise funds through online crowd sourcing, fund raiser events, grants, in kind donations from charitable organizations and profits from our on line African crafts store.

DFS will source American made products to implement into these projects.  We are looking forward to working with North State Solar, (BiggerThanSolar.com), SolarWorld (Solar2World) and other US companies and organizations that want to share in this collaboration. 
We will be putting in a formal request to work with local Titibougou, Bamako Mali Rotary;  Santa Rosa, CA. and International Rotary clubs to partner with some of our projects.
