On April 12th, Drew George relapsed with Leukemia for the second time. Drew and his family are at Children’s Hospital right now fighting this horrible disease for the 3rd time. He started chemo on Tuesday, April 23rd.
The plan is for Drew to be inpatient for 4 to 5 weeks at Children's getting chemo for 5 days straight, which will hopefully put him in remission. We are praying that the round of chemo will work and then he will have a mini stem cell transplant from either his dad or mom along with NK (natural killer) cells. This is a fairly new trial that hasn’t had many participants, but with the people that have received it, there is an 80% success rate!
Funds from this gofundme campaign will go toward family expenses, hospital bills, parking and meals while they take time off of work to care for Drew. We are starting off with the $9,027 that was raised when Drew relapsed the first time and it would be great to reach our goal of $15,000 to take some off the burden off of this wonderful family. All funds go directly to Drew's immediate family.
Cancer is already too much to bear and to have it for a 3rd time is unthinkable. We want to help take the load off the George/O'Donnell family to alleviate as much stress as possible. Please help us help them.
